Accessibility

Peter Suchy Jewelers wants everyone to be able to browse our collection, learn about each piece and buy with confidence, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, screen magnification or other assistive technology.

Our standard

We work to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium, and we test the site against them.

What we have done

  • Every page can be used with a keyboard alone, with a clearly visible focus outline.
  • Menus, search, filters, dialogs and the shopping bag are labelled for screen readers and announce their changes, such as an item being added to your bag.
  • Text, buttons and form fields meet the guidelines' colour contrast requirements.
  • Product photographs carry text descriptions.
  • Pages are built with headings and landmarks, so screen reader users can move around them quickly.
  • Motion and animation switch off for visitors who have asked their device to reduce motion.
  • Checkout is provided by Shopify, which maintains its own accessibility program.

Known limitations

A few features come from outside providers, including live chat and payment messaging. We choose and review them with accessibility in mind, but we don't control their code. If any part of this site, including video or images, isn't accessible to you, tell us and we will provide the information another way.
